This is a “ground zero” clinic. Part of the clinic will be in a classroom setting with a lesson in vocabulary, parts, the organization, the sport of Mounted Archery, scoring, basically anything and everything and where to get your products.
It would be better if you have your own bow, but if you do not, you will be able to practice with my bow. We will have to take turns and help watch for key elements…..which is GREAT! We will build each other up! Plus, the best way to learn something is to teach.
We have a covered arena, and by March 10th we will have our boarding barn complete which will allow for a fully covered area to practice from the ground first.

Double Excel Horsemanship (Brandy) & TR Horsemanship (Taressa May Rankin) present Ranch Dressage
At Von Holten Ranch, rain or shine.
Ranch Dressage sounds all “pinky in the air as you are sipping tea”, but it is nothing like that at all. I do dressage on my mule, JoJo, with his mohawk. All dressage is, is a set pattern that lets you break down specific horsemanship maneuvers. Basically it is a curriculum for training.
So, get rid of vague goals such as “win a buckle” or “work on getting better” with goals that are measurable and specific.
Ranch Dressage gives you something to do when you are riding instead of having to make up drills.
Two clinicians for what you would typically pay for one clinician.
Taressa will have one of two rolls, depending upon the level of riders that sign up. If everyone is able to handle what we are throwing down, then we will be shoulder to shoulder, watching and critiquing you like a hawk.
If we have riders that need extra help that slow down the group, Taressa will take them and form a smaller group so the bulk of the clinic can move on.
