Country Tough Trail Versatility (CT2V) is a nationals versatility association. Competitors have three events in trail, obstacles, and a ranch horsemanship pattern. All scores are combined for an overall versatility placing.
2020 is the third year for CT2V. In 2019, the association grew over 100% and is projected to have another 100% growth year. The word is out! CT2V is actively looking for additional hosts! An online rulebook is available at www.country-tough.com
In 2018, there was a division called Buckaroo. That division is a lead line division for competitors 8 years old and under. In the normal obstacle divisions, competitors have ten obstacles to complete in a seven-minute window. The Buckaroo competitors had to choose any six of the ten obstacles.
In 2019, the Buckaroo division expanded to add any age special needs adults or any child 8 years and younger.
In 2020, Buckaroo is still the same as 2019, but CT2V has expanded to add two NEW divisions just for special needs horsemen and women. Here is an insert for the 3rd edition CT2V rulebook:
Different Abilities: Assisted (coaching allowed)
Any age special needs competitor that can compete with assistance in two classes for a versatility placement: Ranch Horsemanship and Obstacles. The Ranch Horsemanship pattern will always be Modified Ranch Horsemanship 1 (MRH1).
Different Abilities: Unassisted (coaching allowed)
Any age special needs competitor that can compete without assistance in two classes for a versatility placement: Ranch Horsemanship and Obstacles. The Ranch Horsemanship pattern will always be Modified Ranch Horsemanship 1 (MRH1).
The Different Abilities divisions will also be at the CT2V National Championship at Von Holten Ranch October 9-11, 2020! If you know of anyone that would be positively impacted by these divisions, please contact us for how to get involved!
