The 2019 All Around Cowgirl had an major overhaul for this year! The All Round Cowgirl has partnered with the All Cowgirl Team Challenge. Now, you can enter as a team , the ranch hand, the farm hand, 50+ farm hand, or the All Around Cowgirl! You can enter the All Around and also be on a team! In fact you can be on multiple teams! Here’s the deal, you can only compete in each class once but your score can be used for the All Around and for your team. You will have to assign yourself to the classes before the competition starts in order to ensure fairness.
Buckles will be awarded for the Champion and Reserve Champion in the following categories:
All Around Cowgirl
Top Working Ranch Hand
Top Farm Hand
Top Farm Hand 50+
Prizes/Awards will be presented to the 10 ten in every division, which equals 100 prizes and awards!
The teams will win trophies for the top two teams unless there is a large number of entries, then more places will win trophies. Do you realize that if you compete on a team with 5 people, that you would each only pay $20 to compete!
Top Farm Hand
Shooting: You will be ranked by your best two shots. Every competitor will first receive a practice shot that will not count in scoring. You will shoot a Daisy pellet rifle, using crosshairs, standing from 10 meters (33 feet) away.
Farm Girl Relay: You will move clothes off the line, get firewood, water the horses, and two other mystery events that may include driving a piece of farm equipment, milking a cow, or snapping green beans.
Hay Stacking: You will have to figure out how many bales you have to move. You will move less than 20 bales.
Bridle Assembly:This may sound easy, but I can assure you that you will need to practice! We will use a snaffle bit bridle with a brow band, curb strap, and split reins. Time penalties for each part not correctly put on; best time wins.
Washers: This is the original game of washers. One person from each team will play in a bracket to determine your placing.
Top Working Ranch Hand
Brooks and Dunn: Ride down, rope a roping dummy, get off, hammer, and paint a piece of wood. Remount (mounting block available). Best time wins.
Hay Bale Barrel Racing: All correctly ran patterns will be scored first. Best time wins.
Obstacles: 10 obstacles, no points for speed, will have a maximum of 7 minutes to complete obstacles. Actual farm obstacles; nothing that looks like a tornado went through a yard sale.
Goat Bloomer Race: Run down, dismount, put a pair of underwear on a goat, remount (mounting block available), run back. Best time wins. No nanny slamming.
Ranch Pleasure: For this event the pattern will be released the day of the event. Practice riding on a loose rein, lead changes, and different gaits. This will be subjectively judged.
The All Around Cowgirl and the Team Competitions will both do all 100 events!
