Sunday’s clinic will be instructed by Taressa Rankin. If you are able to attend the day before, clinician Brandy Von Holten will instrut a clinic from 1pm-4pm on Saturday (the day before).

Join author, professional horsewoman, and certified middle and high school science teacher, Brandy Von Holten!
Brandy first children’s book “Adventures at Von Holten Ranch: KTM” teaches life lessons in goal setting, leadership, cooperation, and the power of one individual.
The book is creative fiction, and is written from the horse’s view point. HOWEVER, all facts in the book are TRUE!
Part I: Oct 30: 9am-11am
1. Read chapters 1-5 read by the author.
2. Meet the characters from the book and ride KTM. Outdoor lesson over leadership skills: ask, tell, demand
Part II: Nov 6: 9am-11am
1. Read chapters 6-10 read by the author
2. Outdoor lesson over grooming and equine safety.
Cost: (Total of $30 for the two sessions)
Part I: $20 per participant, includes an autographed book.
Part II: $10. If you can only make it to Part II it will cost $20, and you will need to arrive at 8:30am to read chapters 1-5.
Custom ice cream ($3), pop, and water ($1) are available.

This class will go over ways to immediately make yourself safer, what to do and not to do during an attack, and defense maneuvers for common attacks.
Brandy moved to this state to try to go to the Olympics in full contact Taekwondo. Although she did not make it to the Olympics, she did fight at USA Team Trials 11 times, made 5 USA teams, and represented the USA internationally in Italy, Scotland, Puerto Rico, Aruba and once in the USA. In addition to winning over 800 trophies and medals in martial arts, Brandy also has a degree in Biology and has a minor in Physics, and her Masters in Teaching. She will be able to teach any level of participant, understand the human body, and has the experience to back it up.

A second class is available November 7 from 6-7:30. It is recommended to take both to work on repetition.
4 Day Cal Middleton Clinic. The facility will only be open to Cal Middleton clinic participants.

The trails will be closed due to deer hunting season. VHR will reopen on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.

With not very many people visiting Von Holten Ranch in the months of January and February, we are asking that you call for an appointment. David and Brandy Von Holten live at Von Holten Ranch, so CALL BEFORE YOU HAUL. You are most definitely welcome to ride during the winter and use the arena, just call or message and get a response before you haul.
Lessons. guided rides, and trail rides can most definitely still be scheduled.
Wedding and events can be scheduled during these months. Wedding barn viewings will be by appointment.
