Electric Sites
- 40 electric sites with 20/30/50 amp hookups.
- Each electric site has a 10′ x 85′ gravel parking area and a 20′ x 85′ grass section.
- Each electric site has a private fire pit and a garbage barrel. One bundle of firewood free per night. Additional fire wood available to purchase.
- Sites 1-22 are pull through sites.
- Two night minimum during three day weekends.
- All dogs must be on a leash at all times and held onto by a person or attached to a solid object. Barking must be kept to a minimum and you must clean up after your dog.
Cabins
- We have four Cabins that each sleep two people.
- Cabin #3 and Cabin #4 have a queen size bed.
- Cabin #2 and Cabin #5 have two twin beds.
- Each cabin has a mini-refrigerator, microwave, heating and air conditioning, rustic decor, fresh bedding, hitching post, a private fire pit and is located close to stalls and restroom. One bundle of firewood free per night. Additional fire wood available for purchase.
- Two night minimum during three day weekends.
- Cabins have a $10 dog charge per visit.
- Any damage will be charged to the customer.
Primitive Sites
Firewood provided, no electricity at primitive sites, tent campers welcome.
Covered Stalls
- We offer 10′ X 10′ covered stalls.
- Water hydrants are at each barn. Bring your own buckets. Bucket straps and hanging buckets work.
- Bedding is required (minimum of 1 bag per stall). Bedding, buckets, and bucket straps are available for purchase in the office.
- Wheelbarrows and manure forks provided for use.
- You must clean your own stall before departing. We will have volunteers available to clean your stall for a tip. This should be left in the office.
- Every horse must be stalled; only one horse per stall.
- No picket lines, portable pens, or tying to your trailer. You can tie to your trailer to saddle your horse.
Reservation and Cancellation Policy
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all reservations. This must be made within seven days of making your reservation. The remaining balance is due upon check in.
Cancellations made at least 28 days prior to your intended arrival remain active and can be applied to a future reservation for up to one (1) year from the original planned arrival date. One time transfer only. If you cannot attend the date you transferred your deposit to, you forfeit your deposit.
Rules and Rates
Rules
- Negative coggins is required and will be checked.
- Only walk horses through camp; no trotting or running horses through camp.
- Place all trash in barrels. Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground while on the ranch.
- Do not ride on the septic laterals or the septic tank lids.
- No smoking in the shower house, office, or the cabins.
- Quiet time is from 11 pm – 6 am; noise must always be kept to a respectable level.
- Do not tie your horse to the cabin rails, the shower house porch rails, or the electric posts.
- You must clean your own stall before departing. We will have volunteers available to clean your stall for a tip. This should be left in the office.
- All dogs MUST be on a leash and held onto by a person or attached to a solid object. Dogs are not allowed on the trails, in the guest shower house or the office. You must clean up after your dog. No exotic animals.
- Do not bring your own firewood. This is to keep invasive species and plant diseases to a minimum.
- Every horse must be stalled; only one horse per stall. No picket lines, portable pens or tying you your trailer.
- All vendors must be preapproved.
- Have fun and enjoy your stay at Von Holten Ranch.
Rates
- 20/30/50 amp electric site — $27.00 per night + tax
- Cabin — $65.00 per night + tax
- Primitive camping — $15.00 per night + tax
- 10′ x 10′ covered stall — $10.00 per night + tax
- Day Pass for non-campers — $9.46 per rider + tax = $10.00 total
- Stall Bedding — $7.00 per bag + tax
- Firewood Bundle — One bundle free per night (8 sticks), any additional bundles are $3.00 + tax.
- Pet Charge (cabin rentals only) — $10.00 per visit (only dogs are allowed)
Policy for Disease Control
- A minimum of 30 days needs to pass after being exposed to any sickness from another equine. Exposed is defined as being on the same property or facility if disease is spread through contact. Exposed is defined as being on the same property or neighboring property if disease is spread by noncontact.
- A minimum of 90 days needs to pass after your equine has had a disease or sickness.
- A negative coggins test is required. Equine without a current negative coggins will not be allowed onto the property.
- No equine with nasal discharge, other than diagnosed allergies, will be allowed onto the property.
- No equine with swollen glands in the head or neck will be allowed onto the property.
Boarding
Full care boarding available. $400 per month.
Includes:
- A 12′ x 12′ indoor stall with a 12′ x 40′ outdoor run.
- Turned out into larger area every other day
- Hay (not alfalfa)
- Grain — If you wish your equine to be fed a different hay or grain than what is provided, you must supply it.
