Von Holten Ranch to Host Country Tough Homesteading Expo July 19-20, 2024

2024 has one big change in-store for Von Holten Ranch; the addition of a homesteading expo in July and homesteading courses throughout the year.  What is homesteading?  Homesteading is basically the producing, preparing, procuring, and preserving of foods.  Examples:  canning, raising poultry, making sourdough bread, gardening.  It is basically a step back to yesteryears.  

Brandy and David will be seeking out instructors and seasoned experts to help teach in many areas.  

Von Holten Ranch hosted weddings and other type events in the venue from 2017-2023.  With the onset of the homesteading courses, and the need of a large kitchen for educational purposes, the Von Holten Ranch venue has been transitioned to a different format.  Homesteading aligns more with who we are in general.  When we bought the century farm in 2013, it was to return to the ranch and to simpler times.  Everything we do is based on growth and building people up. 

Country Tough Trail Versatility is about helping equine and riders grow and increase safety. 

Mounted archery  is about being able to defend yourself and hunt without giving up your location if needed (plus it is super cool). 

Building with David is a program to help teach people to build. 

Horsemanship with Brandy is about helping beginners be successful with equine. 

And Brandy Von Holten, LLC is about helping businesses grow and provide a better income.  Brandy's children's books are about helping teach character development through the use of equine characters.  

Country Tough Homesteading is exactly what was missing to make our facility and passion's complete.  By educating a person with a lost skill you not only make their life better prepared, but others in their lives better prepared.  The lessons learned will trickle down other generations.

Our goal is to work along side members in our community to create a homesteading network.
